Michele David
(Creole Creations)

I have always loved fiber, texture and colors. I tried several media as an artist, but I found my best mean of self-expression is through fabrics.

I am inspired by African and Haitian influences. The color and vibrancy of my home Caribbean flora and skies continue to inspire me. So my pieces have a lot of color and symbolism related to my upbringing in Haiti.

I am a physician, but I have found that when I quilt, I am able to go in a trance, leave the world of science, and discover new worlds of color and texture.

I have been quilting since the fall of 1999.
